What's the criteria for authentic seal of approval? Different gadgets have always been added which have always been annoying, just not sure how that makes it not Battlefield.

For instance, BF2 had ziplines and grapping hook (albeit a lot slower than the thing in BF2042), BF3 had the EOD Bot, BF4 had the ballistic shield and the definitely not annoying UCAV. I genuinely don't understand the reference to certain gadgets not belonging. If you think classes are a part of that, well, commiserations. Which is, for me anyway, at the heart of BF.
DO PEOPLE STILL PLAY BATTLEFIELD 1 FULL
I think with the full 10 specialists, all gadgets etc and some balancing it will provide a great sandbox, squad based, large teams (32 players, now 64), combined arms, destruction (there was a ton in the beta, loads of micro destruction and fantastic ground deformation which bizarrely seems to get ignore or devalued) on objective designed large maps. locking meds/ammo to medic and support makes sense to me and would be a good improvement. Obviously it needs some balancing and e.g. Seen comments on teamwork missing, well for example, count on one hand how many times revived on BF4 outside of metro/lockers, beginning of any round of BF always reminds me of the Monty Python sketch of the 100m for people with no sense of direction. I will still PTFO and I will still help teammates and I'm certain many, many others will as well. Now I can play a variety of roles with different weapons. I always end up using assault because of the weapons. I am clearly in the minority who welcomes a change up for the classes, choice and flexibility work for me. Had a ton of fun despite all the ridiculous beta bugs. But I get why they didn't like it!Ĭlick to expand.Me either. Again its frustrating that the community didn't like BFV as it could have had so much more content. I get that everyone will have different opinions and I thought BFV was pretty good but was pretty much alone in that view. I didn't like BF1 much and would argue to this day it wasn't a great game although it was very polished and beautiful but some thought it was great. I absolutely get that you enjoyed it and want to play it - but you posted that you 'don't understand the negativity' that's all I'm responding to. In 2021 surely if that's the case the game should be F2P or early access or something - not a full priced AAA release? I also find it hard to take that people would say 'yeah it will be bad at launch but they'll fix it over time'. So yes I find in this games context it hard to not be critical of what we've played given that seems to be 'it' until we have to part with the money to buy it. It wasn't a technical test it was a demo.

The beta is their marketing device to say 'hey this is the game look how great it is' because its literally all they've shown and all they've had. Because then people could decide whether to part with their hard earned cash or not. Are you saying people should wait for the full game in a few weeks before they criticise? I mean that would be fine if we'd seen the amount of gameplay and had the information that is usual for a release like this. Click to expand. Its hard to understand in the context of BF2042 yes.
